David Von Tilius

David has over 20 years of experience in real estate tax and accounting, including the last 12 years in affordable housing. David’s affordable housing experience includes being responsible for all tax-related matters, including filing of tax returns, calculating annual credit streams, first year credit issues, compliance, recapture and capital account issues. Further, David provided strategic advice to management and various business teams as to the tax implications of various structures and transactions which occurred or were proposed, in addition to being in charge of both corporate and fund accounting teams.

Prior to his extensive time focused on affordable housing, David spent 8 years working for a REIT with over $46 billion in assets in 26 different countries. David has a BS in Accounting from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Denver. He is a certified public accountant in the state of Colorado.

When not working, David enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons. He also enjoys being outdoors (skiing in the winter and mountain climbing in the summer, as well as camping year-round), attending concerts and sporting events, and traveling.
